Terms of Use

Last updated: 6 October 2026

These terms cover your use of WaySpeak, a Windows application developed by Waymaure Seuell II ("we", "us"). By installing or using WaySpeak, you agree to these terms.

1. License to use WaySpeak

When you purchase WaySpeak through the Microsoft Store, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on devices as allowed by your Microsoft Store account and Microsoft's own Store terms. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app.

2. Purchases and refunds

WaySpeak is sold as a one-time purchase through the Microsoft Store. Payment processing, billing, and refunds are handled entirely by Microsoft under the Microsoft Store's own refund policy. We do not process payments or issue refunds directly.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. Third-party components

WaySpeak includes third-party software and content under their own open licenses, including a dictionary licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0, icon artwork licensed under the MIT license, and speech components licensed under the MIT and Apache 2.0 licenses. Optional languages you choose to download use translation models licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 and voices licensed under the OpenRAIL-M license (see section 5). See our Credits & Licenses page for the full list.

5. Optional language voices

If you download Spanish, Portuguese or French in WaySpeak, those languages are read by the Elena and Mateo voices. These voices are Supertonic 2 by Supertone Inc., provided under the OpenRAIL-M license. Their speech is made by a computer, not recorded by a person. By using these voices, you agree not to use them, or the speech they make:

These rules come from the voices' license, and they also apply to anyone you share the speech with. The full license text is included with WaySpeak in the file ThirdPartyLicenses\Supertonic-OpenRAIL-M.txt.

6. No warranty

WaySpeak is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, that speech recognition, text-to-speech or translation results will be perfectly accurate, or that it will meet every need. Always double-check anything important, such as text read from an image (OCR), dictated speech or a translation, before relying on it.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of WaySpeak.

8. Changes

We may update WaySpeak or these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the changes.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
